It's MISS BADMUS’ BlogLove,politics,fashion,entertainment,health,true story and whatever is important and fun!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger34125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7905110070123516260.post-52395393024905783242013-06-07T15:58:00.002+01:002013-06-07T15:59:12.467+01:00TEMPTATION: Who to blame?<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Dear Lord, please bless Tyler Perry because for the first time, we can actually see a man has a lot of roles to play in a marriage asides taking care of bills and providing for the family. And it can also be one of the answers to the famous question: <strong>WHY DO WOMEN CHEAT?</strong> I am not trying to justify women for cheating; I am just a peace advocate. This is my opinion. We always look at things from the male side, has anyone heard what she is going through?<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Marriage is hard work. Necessary to keep and to do so, one has to try new things TOGETHER. Go online and do some research, thanks to the sophisticated gadgets that challenge internet providers, internet is more affordable and easy to access. There is absolutely <strong>nothing</strong> one cannot find on the internet. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Communication is also <strong>key</strong>. Not just talking about house bills and other responsibilities or opinions and ideas but pleasure, needs and fantasies. <strong>SEX!</strong> Sex is not a responsibility, it is pleasure. “How do you like it?” “I won’t think less of you if you show or tell me. I just need you to be satisfied.” Communicate and satisfy or be satisfied<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">In the movie, he pushed her away; he saw competition and ignored it. A woman knows when she has a competitor, if she cares, she becomes overly protective which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Either way, she knows and buckles up. <em>“Flesh is weak but the Spirit is willing”</em> that's why it’s important to be spiritually sound BUT THEY WERE NOT. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Men need to understand that some women know how to bottle up emotions and go on like they're not hurt about things they're mad about. That is what makes women UNIQUE. We are absolutely unpredictable. What we love today, we may dislike tomorrow but you can at least make some efforts to show you care which we definitely will appreciate. Little efforts count.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Back to our movie, her husband forgot her birthday 2 years in a row. SERIOUSLY! Who does that? Forget it once and you will remember even in your grave. Men, ignore us when we say it is okay, because it is a lie. Surprise us! Make up for it! TRY to make us happy, we will appreciate the effort you put in achieving it.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">He bluntly told her she'll have her practice in 10-15 years time. HELLO! She knows that already, but when telling us reality, please sugarcoat it. It is not just sweeter but also encouraging. Who says miracles don’t happen; she doesn’t have to wait that long to start her practice. ENCOURAGEMENT is KEY always. BELIEF AND HAVE FAITH like she does. The same faith and believe some women have that their cheating or abusive boyfriends will change after marriage. Sometimes they are right, most times they are wrong. But don’t worsen the depressed situation.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">He kept doing the guitar act to make her happy; who ever said exploring other options is a sin or a bad thing? Be crazy sometimes. Be sweetly wild. Be creative. We are all children, the childlike spirit to have fun and be free spirited is in us all BUT adulthood can be too stressful for us and we may feel embarrassed. But that’s why he/she is your spouse. Be FUN!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">She came home crazy and wanted sex out of the bedroom, he scolded her. At that point, he killed her morale and even if she wanted to tell him anything, she knew he'll judge her and scold her more. Sex is not a responsibility which he didn't see that way. Allow the 5 minutes madness/craziness. It is perfectly healthy. Flow with it.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">We love to be admired, if not all d time, but sometimes those every simple comments like; "You look hot/sexy/beautiful!" “Sexy mama!” “Don’t allow any man woo you!”could go a long way. I term it “Confidence Booster.” We can feel the PRIDE and JEALOUSY in the statement; meaning he cares and make us feel on top the world.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">She tried to fight him(the devil in the red car) but couldn’t because she wasn't spiritually strong and her husband was too busy for her. That they have been married for long doesn’t mean he can abandon her in all ways including emotionally and expect her to be sane. She needed attention and she finally succumbed to the devil. Whereas he knew what she was lacking and used it against her. No matter how uptight a woman can be, she can still be broken, may not be easy but can be broken. All you need do is <strong>PUSH THE RIGHT BUTTONS AT THE RIGHT TIME!<o:p></o:p></strong></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Using Adam and Eve for instance, it was easier to convince Eve who had just gotten to the garden than Adam because we're sometimes weaker that's why we need men's protection. We are the WEAKER SEX. We may not like to admit it, but it is the obvious TRUTH. We are more gullible. That is why brothers, younger or older, try to protect their sisters. It’s a natural thing.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Spiritually, men are to help women ascend to a level above them so women can be strong enough to shield not just the man but all others around her like an umbrella does.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span> </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">So beautiful readers, with these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince not confuse you that <strong>marriage isn't only about the woman but the man also and the absence of Almighty GOD is the invitation of the Devil. <o:p></o:p></strong></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">

<i>HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! What better way can i start the year on this blog than sharing my first ever short story written by me. It is a fiction. Please feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for your time. Miss Badmus.</i><br />
<br />
<br />
Sitting on my chair at work busy as usual my office land phone rang and I picked. “Just confirming u r on seat” was what I heard.<br />
<br />
“Any issue?” My reply.<br />
<br />
Conversation ended with no further response.<br />
<br />
Then, I saw a lady with a box, with my food knowledge I knew it was cake. But for who?<br />
She walked towards my direction. My thoughts were “Lord, let it be red velvet from Cakes n Cream or MonaSweets(her cakes are fabulous also).” “Who can possibly surprise me, get a grip, you are still very single, no one knows or admires you”. “Lord, please let it b mine!” “But I need to lose weight!” “Who cares? I can eat it and lose it later.”<br />
<br />
Then she stopped right in front of me, and I felt every eye move from the lady to me, pierced through my skin. The kind that will make one miss a step and tumble down d stairs.<br />
<br />
Then she asked, “Are you Miss Tracy?”<br />
<br />
Gathering composure, I replied “Yes, I am. How may I help u?”<br />
<br />
“This red velvet cake is for you, so is this bag.” I had just noticed the bag for the first time because my gaze had been only on the cake.<br />
<br />
As the chic that I am, feeling important I asked; “From who please?”<br />
<br />
She replied “Mr Ade!”<br />
<br />
“But I don’t know any Mr Ade, are you sure it’s mine?” I said even if I pinched myself for asking. This is how I’ll let this “every lady’s beautiful surprise dream” go. Abeg, probably an admirer who changed his name. I’ll enjoy my life mhen! ONE LIFE TO LIVE.<br />
<br />
So I collected it all and gave her 5000naira tip for bringing me this GOOD FORTUNE. Be reasonable, if am to buy all these, it’ll cost a lot more.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXbpjpd4WZpIbPa985-PcfUf9JCXxNDvFEzKFJmg3gg_CJBm6vEWQNloTJRqbqJmPOlnwoottpCSILolz9uXmU4KqIuKpyBerniquUejwZ7ITe5WY3KjDqBo-HpPAjy5GSTOJRhlEXm21G/s1600/Ufuoma+(MonaSweets).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXbpjpd4WZpIbPa985-PcfUf9JCXxNDvFEzKFJmg3gg_CJBm6vEWQNloTJRqbqJmPOlnwoottpCSILolz9uXmU4KqIuKpyBerniquUejwZ7ITe5WY3KjDqBo-HpPAjy5GSTOJRhlEXm21G/s200/Ufuoma+(MonaSweets).jpg" width="200" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A Delicious MonaSweet Cake</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Yay! 12inches heart-shaped Red Velvet is mine from one of my favorite places, Mona Sweets. Hmm! This person must know me.<br />
<br />
I open d bag and am perplexed!<br />
<br />
A beautiful sexy, I mean SEXY, its screaming SEXY lingerie!<br />
<br />
Tie-side knicker with Agent Provocateur written across the back. Wow!!! This guy sabi better thing o! A pure tomato red satin with ties on each side. Can’t wait to even wear and get it untied. With matching red colored see-thru embroidered lace top. What more can I say, am not lucky, AM BLESSED!<br />
Nifemi hadn’t heard of it so she decided to google it, like I cared.<br />
<br />
Even as Ogo went on and on about it been very expensive and how she felt it would have been too ridiculous for her to spend £80 on a single “pant” as she called it on her trip to Uk. Lol.<br />
<br />
At the bottom is, OMG!!! Am I dreaming??<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNz3ndDHRL37o1NyPhzO4sp5buxAA6eALodplvfviKZOzhPYEsci2aGdZyS0Gj-6yxD9pLu63B5TK2GU5uLvfrDEAf1WRCbdE21b2-KdjTO1a6bpwOP-4ECaeWBzQ35DBLp9gruajHvx32/s1600/vibevixen-happy-black-woman.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="195" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNz3ndDHRL37o1NyPhzO4sp5buxAA6eALodplvfviKZOzhPYEsci2aGdZyS0Gj-6yxD9pLu63B5TK2GU5uLvfrDEAf1WRCbdE21b2-KdjTO1a6bpwOP-4ECaeWBzQ35DBLp9gruajHvx32/s200/vibevixen-happy-black-woman.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
V. I. P. ticket to MAXWELL’s show! He too sabi “Woman’s Worth!” Wow!!!!<br />
<br />
This is truly a blessing! Am so going to form for everyone!<br />
<br />
Feeling good with myself to have an admirer with such quality and vast taste.<br />
<br />
I felt d envious looks from fellow ladies both married, engaged, in relationship, single and “all join” ladies. For d first time, am d centre of attention!!<br />
YIPEE!! *dancing alingo*<br />
<br />
“Tracy, who is this Mr Ade? Na wa o! The man must like u and must be sexy. A sweet way to say he wants to have sex with u.”<br />
<br />
“I wish say my bobo fit even surprise me like this for work not just for bed sef!”<br />
<br />
“Tracy, na you dey rein o!”<br />
<br />
“Total waste of money.”<br />
<br />
Different comments I paid no attention. There I was, paying absolutely no attention to anyone but Me, Myself, and my new collection!<br />
<br />
BEST VALENTINE EVER!!!<br />
<br />
As usual, I brought out my blackberry, took different pictures and changed my display picture to the finest and most visible, ensured it showed the gifts and I, no dulling! Let the comments start flowing and make me feel as important as A QUEEN! I was on top d world!<br />
<br />
JUST when I was about to cut cake for my buddies who had brought a knife and plates, so I can get them off my back and quickly get back to my phone to start responding to comments, I heard “STOP!”<br />
<br />
I turned round to see d delivery woman hurriedly walking to me. After snapping out of d 10 seconds shock I asked “WHY?”<br />
<br />
Seriously what right does she have to stop me from cutting my cake? Abi poison dey inside?<br />
<br />
Then she said; “Am very sorry ma, but you are not the owner. I wrongly delivered it to u. The Miss Tracy am to give is in the next building. Thank the Lord you haven’t touched the cake. I would have lost my job now! I just looked at the number of this building as I was outside again. Am very sorry ma. Please ma forgive me.”<br />
<br />
Out of humiliation and disappointment, the only thing I heard myself angrily ask was “WHERE IS MY MONEY?” After all, am not her father, I didn’t come to Lagos to throw money away. Not even to someone who had brought MISFORTUNE upon me.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Our relationships are suffering and nobody wants to go into the main problems; we are all chasing shadows tagging it all, “spiritual”.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Like I always tell people, every man is a fan of the vagina and every woman is a fan of the penis. The only thing that determines how strong a fan your husband will be is your ability to make his time in there a memorable one. Please do your best to get that man to enjoy sex with you.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It has nothing to do with age or class; it has everything to do with knowledge of hygiene and body care. How many women can boast of a clean southern hemisphere that is free from foul odour and itching? Girl, what does your man see and perceive when you are alone with him?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
A lot of relationships have broken up because of this foul odour emanating from the vaginal area (guys won’t let their pastor and priest know that this is the problem). A good number of men have lost interest in sex with their wives because of the inability of the woman to take proper care of this zone.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Before I go on, I want you to stand in front of your mirror and do a little check-up. What does your vaginal area look like? Is it a forest with several animals living in it, a tiled floor, or a well trimmed garden? Okay, let me bring it down to your level; what is the condition of the hairs down there? <i>Always best to keep it very low.</i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In this article, I am going to let you know those little things you do ignorantly thereby destroying your vaginal area.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>LACK OF EXERCISE </b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Are you one of those who believe exercise is just for weight loss? You are wrong. Exercise goes a long way to affect your sex life. A man wants to have his woman fit and flexible in bed. The best exercise to improve sex is the <b>KEGEL</b>, which basically strengthens your PC muscles which holds up your vagina, uterus, anus, bladder and urethra. The stronger the muscles are, the more intense your orgasms will be. Try to stop urine flow when you pee. Hold the squeeze for five seconds, then release. You can also squeeze your pelvic area while cooking in the kitchen or right there in your office.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>WRONG UNDERWEAR </b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
That particular underwear looks nice but doesn’t mean it is good for you. Always go for cotton under wears. Avoid panties made from synthetic materials as they inhibit the circulation of air around the vaginal area, creating the damp, warm condition ideal for bacterial growth. Cotton is the best fabric to wear and if you enjoy wearing silky under wear save it for occasional rather than everyday use. In addition to this, avoid constant wearing of tight trousers, panty hose and girdles.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>POOR HYGIENE</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I get goose pimples whenever I hear women talk about going to bed sometimes without having their bath. Some celebrities have also said it on television. Are deodorants and perfumes supposed to take the place of a good bath in a woman’s life? How can a woman sleep without a night bath? Some even sleep with their bras and panties. Girl, it is not healthy. Smelling good outside doesn’t mean you are clean inside. Always keep your genital area clean and dry.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>DOUCHING</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Please avoid those douching products in the market. They do you more harm than good. They are one of the major causes of vaginal itching. Your vagina doesn’t require cleansing other than normal bathing. Repetitive douching affects the normal organisms in the vagina and can actually increase the risk of vaginal infection.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>SCENTED AND HARSH SOAP</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Don’t use scented or harsh soap such as those with deodorant and anti-bacterial components. There are different ranges of feminine wash in the market. Just get into your local drugstores and ask for feminine wash like Sebamed, Femfresh, Summer’s Eve, and Beauty Formula. These are affordable. I don’t know what you feel about the popular Lactacid in the market; but I can tell you it is harsh for your vagina.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Also avoid scented tampons and sanitary pads. Avoid those body and feminine sprays; they will only lead to irritation. Coloured toilet paper and bubble baths should also be avoided. Wipe from front to back after using the toilet. This stops the spreading of faecal bacteria to your vagina.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>INDECENCY</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Girl, you keep jumping from one man to the other for whatever reason. I want to let you know that your freelance nature could lead to your trouble. The introduction of sperm into the vagina which has different PH (acid/alkaline) balance to that in the vagina can lead to vaginal odour. Why go through life depending on <b>antibiotics and clotrimazole cream</b>? They will in no time weaken the immune system. You may escape it now but the result of reckless lifestyle might spring up at old age.</div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b>Endeavour to have a glass of natural yoghurt whenever your vaginal is itching.</b> Having garlic as part of your diet is also recommended. Avoid too much spicy and refined foods. Also avoid excessive washing of the vaginal area as that can only make it worse.</div>

<b>As Nigeria joined the world to mark this year’s World Hepatitis Day today (Saturday July 28, 2012), experts have said that hepatitis B alone affects about 19 million Nigerians.</b><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlWQ-0lXXhc0C9gZDoCFM9BfejpETZiNoLOrhBPTEOMxqRWUeH_sOcg_NVJBgLRVJkNeSjALvlabzUcPqlJCUVXAAHtG7Z_uwHfCqO7PBH8pW31ejZ_ei0EyIcww_GJ13nhpLCYJNLTUb7/s1600/hepatitis.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlWQ-0lXXhc0C9gZDoCFM9BfejpETZiNoLOrhBPTEOMxqRWUeH_sOcg_NVJBgLRVJkNeSjALvlabzUcPqlJCUVXAAHtG7Z_uwHfCqO7PBH8pW31ejZ_ei0EyIcww_GJ13nhpLCYJNLTUb7/s320/hepatitis.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<b><br /></b><br />
The experts, who made the revelation in Lagos on Friday 27 July 2012 during a symposium on Hepatitis B organized by the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) in collaboration with the Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of Nigeria (SGHIN) called for collaboration to raise awareness of the disease, which they said is more infectious and common than the Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection/ Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS).<br />
<br />
NIMR Director-General, Prof. Innocent Ujah, said although the disease is deadly, it is largely unknown by Nigerians. He put the global rate of Hepatitis B and C at about 490 million, adding that HIV and the disease <b>“area two enemies”</b> that should not be allowed to mix.<br />
<br />
There are five hepatitis viruses defined by<b> types- A, B, C, D and E. Types B and C</b> are of significant concern since a high proportion of people infected with these viruses may not experience symptoms at the early stage of the disease, and only become aware of their infection when they are chronically ill.<br />
<br />
According to WHO, types B and C could lead to chronic disease in hundreds of millions of people and, together, are the most common causes of liver cirrhosis and cancer.<br />
<br />
<i>Common modes of transmission of these viruses include receipt of contaminated blood or blood products, invasive medical procedures using contaminated equipment and for Hepatitis B, transmission from mother to baby at birth, from family member to child, and also by sexua<span id="goog_1560557173"></span><span id="goog_1560557174"></span><a href="http://www.blogger.com/"></a>l contact. Also infected children sleeping next to each other, sharing of razor blades, being tattooed with unsterilized equipment are responsible for the transmission of the ailment.</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<b>PLEASE GO CHECK YOUR STATUS. THERE IS A VACCINE FOR THIS DISEASE. GO TAKE YOURS. </b><br />

IS MUSIC STILL THE FOOD OF LOVE?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

What are artistes singing nowadays? We don’t listen to the words anymore because they are meaningless. Songs sell because of the beats; that is why producers are getting more popular than the musicians and are also mentioned in songs.<br />
<br />
I used to be a fan of D’Banj but I have always categorized some of his songs as FANTASTIC CRAP. If you think good PACKAGING doesn’t sell a product then you have not heard of D’ Banj. I say FANTASTIC because of the melodious beat; makes me tap my feet and move my body, very danceable and good for exercise; it is dancehall. CRAP because the lyrics don’t make any sense. They all sing the same thing: sex, money, girls, alcohol etc… We have so many up and coming artistes in Nigeria but they are majorly crap.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOtV0QaYwvMpmeJGzT0o89gWXpd0lN0uNmlk2dEdTiYtQNJwW-6ypbcl-X0QMculbWf-4WmlZLJ41NJHCxES65IoYmwfw-ldtGr8vbfyASvcUk0_VtLXbSXTrH2kSMD96je81us8kadTbN/s1600/Best-dressed-DBanj-MAMA-2009-Red-Carpet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOtV0QaYwvMpmeJGzT0o89gWXpd0lN0uNmlk2dEdTiYtQNJwW-6ypbcl-X0QMculbWf-4WmlZLJ41NJHCxES65IoYmwfw-ldtGr8vbfyASvcUk0_VtLXbSXTrH2kSMD96je81us8kadTbN/s200/Best-dressed-DBanj-MAMA-2009-Red-Carpet.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
There is a new artiste on the block, May D, he sang “Soundtrack”; if I say I don’t like the song then am in denial. It is also in my FANTASTIC CRAP category. Was glad it was banned, can’t imagine kids singing the song in public. Though DJs will play the song at kids’ parties, and sharp kids end up singing it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNE7RUzM-KGnjijeHcZ3L8Mo-WMlnYLXU9eJGdFjWbgwQ6IR-GmBjAw0MYsr4bM7rOxxkHbeIO7uIAeT0VRSgy59av-F9UO4FyH3EbX34t4Y_LkgAWSkUosIsrPI4IA-_K79sYDqIEnaaP/s1600/MayD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNE7RUzM-KGnjijeHcZ3L8Mo-WMlnYLXU9eJGdFjWbgwQ6IR-GmBjAw0MYsr4bM7rOxxkHbeIO7uIAeT0VRSgy59av-F9UO4FyH3EbX34t4Y_LkgAWSkUosIsrPI4IA-_K79sYDqIEnaaP/s200/MayD.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
There can’t be song books because there is no reasonable lyric to publish. I doubt if these musicians even write their songs in the first place or they just freestyle on tape or any recording device, if it sounds good, they edit to suit the market. “If you father is a rich man”, how does it improve our economy or add value to our lives?<br />
<br />
I was with some friends some weeks back and we were trying to figure out the lyrics to Rayce’s “ROLL” and we all couldn’t after repeating the song a couple of times. They come up with unique yet undefined slangs in their songs. If they give meanings to their slangs and it will be heard more often; if it sounds pleasant though.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Artistes/musicians/singers don’t know what to call you guys; that a song is dancehall or rhythm and blues doesn’t mean it has to be CRAP. Most of you mention the Legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, as your mentor but just a very few of you emulate him lyrics wise though. Am so glad not all Nigerian musicians sing Fantastic Crap. Thank goodness for the likes of Asa, Tuface, Sound Sultan, and a very few others.<br />

<br />
SERIOUSLY ladies, FLEXIBLE ROLLER IS NOT A FASHION ACCESSORY!<br />
<br />
It’s being around for decades but not until recently did China do us a favour by shipping them down here in bulk. These China rollers (most common) are not supposed to be expensive but due to high demand they are. I guess some ladies think it’s some form of “sophistication” to have it that is why they display it in public. Forget the colours; it is inappropriate to wear in public.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Hrtqxm1cvVKkJ-TNnTsZ064Y8LZq0pyj0EMobFj5CkCYE-eIFFXbCCfg_htyWIS0Qk9IDp4EBo_CVD4xtaB6r0p4f7dCze5Xa9B5aJXVkQgYumB79VIhOuEzalgWgCH63FXMCSXwyZuc/s1600/A14716B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Hrtqxm1cvVKkJ-TNnTsZ064Y8LZq0pyj0EMobFj5CkCYE-eIFFXbCCfg_htyWIS0Qk9IDp4EBo_CVD4xtaB6r0p4f7dCze5Xa9B5aJXVkQgYumB79VIhOuEzalgWgCH63FXMCSXwyZuc/s200/A14716B.jpg" width="160" /></a></div>
The simple use of these rollers is to create or maintain specific hair curls. I was in the bank some days ago and a lady came in with d rollers in her hair. I have seen ladies on okadas (motorcycles) wearing it especially in Yaba while some others in their cars in public places. It is funny that these same ladies/women will not wear plastic rollers in public because they think it’s embarrassing. Here’s news, ROLLERS ARE ROLLERS! Plastic or fiber, it serves the same purpose.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBFwEAAv3VdYlNCC83YLIYBA8Ef2ywQUMWIs19cMNlZLcjBHc4yP-vm606J2IU59OnMjDF2Kmxok0rOLaUJ9WkjXRMeVedHIJ2l6zSkrR6swpNE90l1nU0L-ohnRals7lhKyCdWmZiIS-/s1600/31Zsae1AG-L._AA300_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBFwEAAv3VdYlNCC83YLIYBA8Ef2ywQUMWIs19cMNlZLcjBHc4yP-vm606J2IU59OnMjDF2Kmxok0rOLaUJ9WkjXRMeVedHIJ2l6zSkrR6swpNE90l1nU0L-ohnRals7lhKyCdWmZiIS-/s200/31Zsae1AG-L._AA300_.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
True it is a ‘fashion must have’ and good quick remedy for curls, but don’t allow it condescend you. You are NOT to be seen publicly with it.<br />
For your information, it is NOT sexy!<br />

<i>I also went to this University and i am glad this was written. I always said i will write about my experience but never did, now we know why private universities are regarded as GLORIFIED SECONDARY SCHOOLS. Definitely all schools have issues but it is good to discuss them. Only hypocrites are against this article, i stand by the truth and i <b>confirmed the authenticity</b> of this story before publishing. Please leave a comment. Thank you.</i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCRKzMGRPpPkJAhmGFshswb_XrpwyR1QDPPMacLM430T99XrRH35OOfrcdCuiv2YJ0iGwKs7yGgAU8bSM-lKTcZQE4mfYl8PASfYlLClMI8t118WdddFwE6dRQljRkbCs9kO2pTcrFVymT/s1600/banner3-300x105.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCRKzMGRPpPkJAhmGFshswb_XrpwyR1QDPPMacLM430T99XrRH35OOfrcdCuiv2YJ0iGwKs7yGgAU8bSM-lKTcZQE4mfYl8PASfYlLClMI8t118WdddFwE6dRQljRkbCs9kO2pTcrFVymT/s1600/banner3-300x105.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I don’t know how to give this a more befitting title. There are absolutely no words to describe the feeling of utter regret, contempt, repulsion and anger I feel towards Redeemers University – where sadly I find myself pursuing a B.Sc. Regret that I came to the school, repulsion at how it is being run by people who are supposed to be men of God first and foremost, contempt because I feel the school is a worthless piece of human waste and anger because the powers that be, are not interested in moving the school forward and making things better for not just the students but the staff in general. Instead they are interested in mundane things such as: banning all phones, especially BlackBerries and camera phones in general; the facial hair on young men – whether cleanly cut or rough – being completely shaven; attendance for church services that are so drab and boring the devils minions would forget their task of causing chaos and confusion and fall asleep instead; and also bullying students which is the favorite past time of the Student Affairs Officer, the Assistant Chaplain & the Chief Security Officer.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This list is endless. But the ultimate mission of the Chaplaincy of Redeemers University, is to make life unbearable and a living hell for students in general. I say the Chaplaincy because obviously they have taken full control of the school ever since the departure of the first Vice Chancellor, Professor Tomori, who kept a firm barrier between school work and church activities. Since his departure at the end of the 2010/2011 session, the university has undergone a series of changes, that are more or less useless in my opinion.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For example, the introduction of a christian course that was made compulsory for all departments including the management & natural science departments. You might ask what is wrong with that. My reply is why introduce such a course, when students have loads of assignments to submit nearly every other day or have their books to study all through the night? This course called ‘Study to show (STS)’ is aimed at drawing students closer to God according to the Chaplaincy. In the eyes of the students, it is another way of punishing us, for what crime, we are yet to find out. Assignments include submitting summaries of at least 10-20 chapters of the bible before the next class or summaries of whole books sometimes. Tell me how do you expect your ward who was sent to school, (to get a degree mind you, not in Theology) to pay full attention to his/her school work when he/she has the last STS assignment lurking at the back of his/her mind?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Did I mention the new Vice Chancellor is a complete clown and or buffoon? His command of the English language alone is appalling to say the least. If he wasn’t from the Yoruba tribe, you would think he was related to Dame Patience Jonathan. His activities include rolling on the floor in church, composing new hymns every Sunday and any other irrelevant thing you can imagine possible (including giving a lecture on etiquette and in his words to ladies, “Do not apply makeup, it ruins your face. It is not godly. It attracts the devil”. He said this on May 9. Okay, maybe he didn’t use those exact words, but he did say it was wrong for women or girls to use makeup. How backward is this guy, I hear you ask. Anyway, that is the least of problems with the school – which is trying ever so hard to imitate Covenant University and if possible surpass the glorified secondary school as it is usually called. That power to control young people from diverse homes and backgrounds, some oozing wealth, others reeking of abject poverty.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hear you ask, how someone reeking of abject poverty is able to afford the school fees which presently is in the bracket of N400,000 to N650,000 – as from next session the least anyone will pay is going to be between N650,000 and N850,000? Honestly I have no idea. But what shocks me is that this so called university (RUN) calls on students to donate to the school fees of the less fortunate students who can’t afford the high fees of a school their parents probably donated their last twenty naira to, in hopes that they would be blessed in return. I scoff at that thought. Blessed indeed. Life isn’t fair. Do I need to mention that if The Redeemed Church requests fifty naira from their zillions of branches around Lagos or the west alone that they would generate millions of naira to not just pay these kids school fees but to give them cash to help with their needs at home?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Let’s move. Now, one would think that this university with all their ‘gra gra’ would have facilities in abundance. I laugh. Ask the computer science students how many programs they know how to use, from Pascal, C to C++, you name it. Better yet set a test for them. I guarantee you no one will type a code bereft of errors. Infact, ask them how many practicals they’ve had on each of the programs they’ve treated from 100 level to 400 level or find out how many of the computer systems in the software lab are actually working.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sigh.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The physics lab? Let’s not go there. The laboratories in many secondary schools boast of more facilities. I hear they have good facilities in their chemistry lab because of the presence of a certain Dr.Emerole, who is head of the department. Did I hear you ask “And they pay such a high amount as school fees?!” The absolute shocker is that most of the courses in this school are not accredited by the NUC.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As a matter of fact, in the mathematics department between March and April, special meetings were held by the Head of the Department with the Vice Chancellors knowledge. It was in anticipation of the visit from NUC officials to the school and he specifically encouraged and asked the students to LIE on behalf of the university on matters involving how their classes are being held, if they were having their practicals and so on if any NUC official accosted them and interrogated them. He is probably between 55 & 65years old.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have I mentioned that during Prof.Tomori’s tenure, the General Overseer’s wife would occasionally submit some names of jambites who were special and must be granted admission after the entrance exams? According to the students that swear they were told this in confidence by the man himself, he tore up such lists and as a result the students were punished by the missions who live in the camp by cutting off their light and water supply. RUN has no wireless internet, despite the millions of naira that’s been pumped into securing one for the university. The story is that three vendors or companies were told to present their budgets and test their facilities in the school. Of the three only one was effective around the school up to the hostel area, but it wasn’t chosen. The one that was chosen had a link with the former registrar who was disgraced out of office before the start of the present 2011-2012 session for stealing school funds running into more than N12millionin conjunction with the Chief Security Officer who still has his job.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Who knows why he still has his job? Maybe he knows the secrets of some people up there. Also the state of some of the rooms in the hostels, are beyond deplorable; with water leaking from the ceilings of rooms on the ground floor to, water seeping from the ground and flooding the rooms, to ceilings that are falling apart of their own free will. A friend there once said every morning he wakes up, he thanks God his ceiling hasn’t crushed him to death.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On the night of Tuesday May 8, between the hours of 11:45pm - 1am, there was a fire outbreak in Block 16 rooms 1 & 2 that consumed both rooms completely of all their possession. Thankfully to God, no life was lost, neither were any casualties recorded. But the alarming thing is that help did not come for nearly 20minutes! During which the students themselves tried putting off the fire but couldn’t achieve that because water wasn’t running in the hostels and the only fire extinguisher available extinguished under 10 seconds. Mind you, this fire occurred close to the transformer and the surrounding rooms. The fire was so intense, the smoke rose far above the buildings and got all the way to the front gate of the Prophet Moses Hall hostel from the back of the hostel where the fire originally started.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Only God knows where the two security men placed in charge of the hostel were at this time and also the porters who were suddenly AWOL. The hall warden was spotted running out of the hostel and watching the fire outside at a somewhat safe distance with the female hall warden. When the fire truck came, there was no sense of urgency. The students lamented the laughter on the faces of the driver of the fire truck and another fireman; also they were angered by how leisurely they went about their job of putting out the fire which was already dying out by the time the firemen arrived.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That isn’t what led me to writing this letter or report as it now seems. This is being inspired by the pain I felt when I heard of the trivial way in which lives are regarded in that space in the Redeemed Camp, now being referred to as a university. Two weeks back, on the April 26, a life was nearly lost. A 100 level student nearly lost his life due to the inadequacy of the nurses at the RUN clinic. The absence of the doctors for at least 55 minutes and the lackadaisical treatment meted out by these group of individuals who are supposed to save lives whenever and wherever the need be. The young man received a knee to the back of his head unintentionally when he courageously dived out to catch a loose ball and he passed out on the field for a few seconds. Granted the students didn’t seek medical attention for their friend immediately, because he got up and came back in to continue the match later on. He complained of a headache and blurry vision and when it was time to alight from the school bus when it got to the hostel, the students found out he had gone unconscious again.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The driver of the bus wasted five minutes before he sped to the clinic and a student was sent to call the orderlies to bring a stretcher to carry the young boy of 16 years. Of course they didn’t get any stretcher because they were not concerned and the students carried their comrade in themselves with their hands. The nurse that was first on the scene, after she was briefed on what had transpired, instructed one of the students to go and buy a bottle of lucozade boost for the young lad. Someone is that close to death and the solution is lucozade boost?!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The students asked for the doctor and were told he was away without leave. After the nurse continuously tapped the boy and called his name for at least twenty minutes (all the while the boy was shaking & tossing vigorously from his head to his hands and feet whilst breathing very hard but was still unconscious), she realised that he might be in need of some medication and proceeded to set up a drip with the help of another nurse and some yellow-ish substance was injected into it. The doctor finally strolled in at about 7:55pm and wasn’t even headed to the ward. He was instead concerned with hailing all the agbalagbas in the waiting room as is customary of Yoruba people. It wasn’t until he saw the panicked look on the face of one of the nurses that he proceeded to the ward. It took him about five minutes before he realised there was a huge problem. A second man arrived at around 8:02pm. No one knows if he is a doctor or not, but he acted like one. By this time the young boy was at the middle of his second drip (which a pint of water, sugar & salt with the yellowish drug injected into it, making it a total of 100ml. For that situation, a drip isn’t supposed to be administered as there is already a swelling in the head, where water would have accumulated).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Instead he should have been given another drip called a Metholene or something like that. Its job is to dry out the water that has accumulated in the head. Therefore we have a charge of wrong administration of medication) if there’s anything like that in a court case) and there was a visible reduction in the frequency of his convulsion and the grunting sounds he had been making earlier. When a student present observed this and commented, the two doctors laughed it off and attributed that to the effect of the drip he was being given. Well not long after that, about 5-10minutes to be precise, the young lad stopped breathing.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
See panic!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first doctor started rubbing his fist vigorously in the center of the boy’s chest. I’m not a doctor, but from the movies and documentaries I’ve watched, I would have expected that sort of pressure to be applied on his left chest where his heart is located. Perhaps the doctor at redeemers’ university clinic was taught in school that the heart is in the middle of the chest. Perhaps. Well the foolish staff of that clinic commenced a helter-skelter search for their stretcher and proceeded to put the boy in the ambulance, with the intention of rushing him to the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital. They nearly didn’t achieve this as they nearly dropped the boy two times before they reached the exit. All four of them carrying the stretcher. One of the elderly nurses was in tears around this period.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And when they finally succeeded in getting him into the ambulance, he nearly rolled over yet again. When one of the students asked where the belt used in securing patients was, lo and behold he found out the belts had been replaced with worn out ropes. When he was secured firmly, they tried giving him oxygen. The first cylinder didn’t work, but on the second try with the second cylinder, they were able to revive him and his chest started moving again. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital. The Chief Security Officer, who is particularly fond of bullying and harassing students arrived on the scene and warned a friend of the boy not to call the boys’ parents. Unfortunately for him, the nurses had already gotten hold of the father who rushed to his son’s side that night from Ikotun, if my memory serves me right. We thank God in heaven this young man didn’t die. He woke up the next morning.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What’s the point of this write-up? The world deserves to know what goes on in these so called private universities. Covenant University is another university with loads of secrets. Do not be deceived. If proper investigations are carried out, who knows what can be achieved? We young people are made to endure a lot and when we complain to our parents, most of them ignore our tales in the belief that they are nothing but tales. I guess it is until something happens to the child of someone prominent in the society or military that these vices will be tackled.</div>
<div>
God help us all.</div>

Some nights ago, I suffered indigestion. I knew because my belch was stinking and I was very uncomfortable. I drank lots of water but no difference. Then I remembered someone told me carrots aid digestion; fortunately, there were carrots in the house so I ate two (2) pieces. Like five (5) minutes after I ate it, I felt relieved and better and no stinky breath or belch.<br />

<br />
Belching is generally a process by which the body rids the stomach of excess air. Excess air in the stomach creates discomfort and belching offers relief. It occurs when excess air is taken into the stomach when eating or drinking too quickly, or when drinking carbonated beverages. Whilst belching is a natural phenomenon, but if it persists for long or smelly <i>(like mine but not smelly)</i>, the problem should be taken care off well as it is uncomfortable and embarrassing in front of others.<br />

The ironic thing is, this was not sent to my Nokia phone but my Sony Ericsson. I also did NOT write anywhere that I use a Nokia phone, i did not play any game to merit this award neither did i hear of the game. I was also not called and why do they need my details? This is not the first time I will receive this kind of text message. I just wonder WHO and HOW anyone will fall for this! It is so lame. Everyone is hustling but people should look for jobs or do reasonable and legal businesses rather than scam others.<br />
Good luck to whoever falls for this, deserves no sympathy but more wisdom!<br />

Happy children we</div>
<div>
Listen to the hymn that we sing to thee</div>

Some acts are sinful and unintentional and are response actions. Sometimes people act before thinking. Just because you want instant revenge, retaliation, we SHUT our conscience and do the wrong things. Because the guy left you for another, you set him or the new girl up; just because she slapped you, you were awake all night planning a wonderful revenge that turned out to be a drastic action. While you are busy planning and fuming with anger, the fellow you are planning against is probably having fun and doesn’t know. So he/she stole from you? Are you not living and all your basic needs provided for? It is said that it is not only through our actions we commit sin but through our thoughts.<br />
<br />
You go out and see a chic wearing a mini dress or see an endowed babe wearing a bikini and you start having lustful thoughts, it is wrong. But he couldn’t help it because he is not blind, he looked and admired and the thought crossed his mind and it became a sin. Remember this commandment: “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.” But she tempted the man, trouble came to him. It takes a lot to clear your thoughts and make it clean, but that is exactly what you need to do, CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS.<br />

Letting hurts go is the best gift you can give yourself because it makes you burden free. Why carry so much weight in your heart, your heart is primarily to pump blood, why use it as a waste air bag? YES! Waste air bag, it is like putting air in a balloon, the more air you blow into it, the more it expands till it blows up and there is no remedy. That is where all the bitterness comes from. It is draining and saddening. It is good to breathe and let it all out. It is written in the bible, Luke 6:29, Matthew 5:39, that revenge is for GOD and you have to be patient, might not happen while you are alive but will happen somehow. BUT we know all these and really wish to retaliate, we want the now action not the later one. We want to win and have the last laugh and not feel oppressed or have bruised ego.<br />
<br />
Just leave it and don’t listen to the saying that “REVENGE IS BEST SERVED COLD”. It’s best to LET GO.<br />

<br />
If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. <br />
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. <br />
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. <br />
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache. <br />
Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be. <br />
Slower is better. <br />
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. <br />
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't 'be friends.' A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. <br />
Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. <br />
Don't stay because you think 'it will get better.' You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better. <br />
The only person you can control in a relationship is you. <br />
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. <br />
He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, <br />
Why would he treat you any differently? <br />
Always have your own set of friends separate from his. <br />
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9huUPZMJrmw4k1xy3iQMtuD8Ip-W_gopNUoC4cWsHyQS51LR8bzqlXmKPDaIeSLt5j8NAdvhIhEONPFVhTGT1O-a6irk1bJbdfzRgT76xXojMbu6GWQHZxt8kRhCAhqRSCWnW4LoyU9ZS/s1600/Three-Button+Black+Pinstripe+Suit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9huUPZMJrmw4k1xy3iQMtuD8Ip-W_gopNUoC4cWsHyQS51LR8bzqlXmKPDaIeSLt5j8NAdvhIhEONPFVhTGT1O-a6irk1bJbdfzRgT76xXojMbu6GWQHZxt8kRhCAhqRSCWnW4LoyU9ZS/s200/Three-Button+Black+Pinstripe+Suit.jpg" width="163" /></a>If something bothers you, speak up. <br />
Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later. <br />
You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within. <br />
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. <br />
He is a man, nothing more nothing less. <br />
Never let a man define who you are. <br />
Never borrow someone else's man. <br />
Oh Lord!? If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. <br />
A man will only treat you the way you <b>ALLOW</b> him to treat you. <br />
All men are <b>NOT</b> dogs.<br />
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two-way street.<br />
You need time to heal between relationships................there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.<br />
You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary. <br />
Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right. <br />
Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and your always readily available to him- he takes it for granted. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaBFPaJG8Rfc6EVEGnxsstE4r2YboECn8GVgC9k49MWUu6Qz8S6x89UK7RTad2cuz-N92YGfdLAAL-4qQvGixrcgJCTpMcBc6LVUtJW2ZM71FPKQqHn8fo36tjyYl-oLzuG6bYPP8_6LIS/s1600/619-00822881w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="132" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaBFPaJG8Rfc6EVEGnxsstE4r2YboECn8GVgC9k49MWUu6Qz8S6x89UK7RTad2cuz-N92YGfdLAAL-4qQvGixrcgJCTpMcBc6LVUtJW2ZM71FPKQqHn8fo36tjyYl-oLzuG6bYPP8_6LIS/s200/619-00822881w.jpg" width="200" /></a>Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. <br />
Keep him in your radar but get to know others. <br />
Share this with other ladies..... You'll make someone SMILE, another RETHINK her choice and another woman PREPARE. <br />
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them. <br />
<br />
BY THE WAY, THIS WAS WRITTEN BY A MAN, SO TAKE A HINT..............<br />

<br />
Cholesterol is a fat (lipid) which is produced by the liver and is crucial for normal body functioning. It is a soft, waxy substance found in all parts of the body. Your body makes some cholesterol, and some cholesterol comes from the food you eat. Cholesterol is needed for the body to function properly. But too much cholesterol can clog your arteries and lead to heart disease. There are two main types of fat – saturated and unsaturated. Eating foods that are high in saturated fat can raise cholesterol levels in the blood.<br />
<br />
Cholesterol helps the body produce hormones (cortisol, corticosterone, aldosterone, androgens, estrogens and others), bile acid, and vitamin D. Cholesterol moves through the bloodstream to be used by all parts of the body. It also insulates nerve fibers.<br />
<br />
The amount of cholesterol in human blood can vary from 3.6 mmol/liter to 7.8 mmol/liter.<br />
Below is a list of cholesterol levels and how most doctors would categorize them in mg/dl (milligrams/deciliter) and 5mmol/liter (millimoles/liter).<br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Desirable - Less than 200 mg/dL<br />
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Bordeline high - 200 to 239 mg/dL<br />
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>High - 240 mg/dL and above<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Optimum level: less than 5mmol/liter</li>
<li>Mildly high cholesterol level: between 5 to 6.4mmol/liter</li>
<li>Moderately high cholesterol level: between 6.5 to 7.8mmol/liter</li>
<li>Very high cholesterol level: above 7.8mmol/liter</li>
</ul>
<br />
<b>High cholesterol levels can cause</b>:<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Atherosclerosis - narrowing of the arteries.<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Higher coronary heart disease risk - an abnormality of the arteries that supply blood and oxygen to the heart.<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Heart attack - occurs when the supply of blood and oxygen to an area of heart muscle is blocked, usually by a clot in a coronary artery. This causes your heart muscle to die.<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Angina - chest pain or discomfort that occurs when your heart muscle does not get enough blood.<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Other cardiovascular conditions - diseases of the heart and blood vessels.<br />
o<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Stroke and mini-stroke - occurs when a blood clot blocks an artery or vein, interrupting the flow to an area of the brain. Can also occur when a blood vessel breaks. Brain cells begin to die.<br />
<br />
<b>Symptoms of high cholesterol</b> do not exist alone in a way a patient or doctor can identify by touch or sight. Symptoms of high cholesterol are revealed if you have the symptoms of atherosclerosis, a common consequence of having high cholesterol levels. These can include:<br />
•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Narrowed coronary arteries in the heart (angina).<br />
•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Leg pain when exercising - this is because the arteries that supply the legs have narrowed.<br />
•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Blood clots and ruptured blood vessels - these can cause a stroke or TIA (mini-stroke).<br />
•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Ruptured plaques - this can lead to coronary thrombosis (a clot forming in one of the arteries that delivers blood to the heart). If this causes significant damage to heart muscle it could cause heart failure.<br />
•<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Xanthomas - thick yellow patches on the skin, especially around the eyes. They are, in fact, deposits of cholesterol. This is commonly seen among people who have inherited high cholesterol susceptibility (familial or inherited hypercholesterolaemia).<br />
<br />
<b>How is high cholesterol diagnosed? </b><br />
Cholesterol levels may be measured by means of a simple blood test. It is important not to eat anything for at least 12 hours before the blood sample is taken. The blood sample can be obtained with a syringe, or just by pricking the patient's finger.<br />
The blood sample will be tested for LDL (bad cholesterol) and HDL (good cholesterol) levels, as well as blood triglyceride levels. The units are measure in mg/dl (milligrams/deciliter) or 5mmol/liter (millimoles/liter).<br />
<br />

WHAT CAN YOU EXACTLY SAY ABOUT LIFE?<br />
It serves you love for breakfast(young and dependent)<br />
Trash for lunch(adult and independent) and<br />
For dinner(aged), gives you pain.<br />
Life can be incredible and painful at the same time; a bumpy road,<br />
Hope and Motivation is what keeps you going,<br />
Depression is what kills you faster,<br />
Love is what makes you happy especially when it is reciprocated,<br />
Almighty God keeps you alive cause HE uplifts your Mind and Soul that is if you let HIM.<br />
Nothing is easy and nothing is also difficult,<br />
Remember being blessed by Almighty God is better than being lucky.<br />

The Day I Saw the Sun<br />
<br />
For a long time I have wondered how any human being could take time to watch the sun. Rising or setting it has never made a difference. What’s the big deal? After all it’s always there, usually managing to cause me great discomfort. But … but today I saw the sun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu558BL3TI0fm2DSlfeHKdKwveVk0KyodH5YDVyRJiEywQ_PryiO3Y2R983PcgigNjwSTgkFVw9IYGb6hOh5h_zJk77YmanhoggYaHrHJvQPy-xQTgLK_mpbWKL02feDu8TmbfZdyGsc_O/s1600/upper-diamond-hill-sun.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="149" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu558BL3TI0fm2DSlfeHKdKwveVk0KyodH5YDVyRJiEywQ_PryiO3Y2R983PcgigNjwSTgkFVw9IYGb6hOh5h_zJk77YmanhoggYaHrHJvQPy-xQTgLK_mpbWKL02feDu8TmbfZdyGsc_O/s200/upper-diamond-hill-sun.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
I was walking casually back from lectures when suddenly I looked up and there it was – the sun. Probably for the first time I could see its beauty and magnificence radiating majestically. As if spellbound and probably looking a little crazy, I walked with my eyes fixed, gazing upwards at the rather robust and orange looking sun as it disappeared into the horizon to make way for the moon.<br />
<br />
My only regret was that I did not have a camera to record what I had seen. Then, I remembered and smiled because I realized that the sun would most definitely return the next day.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh851yRqmT27Q_DvrKtE371aWYRSb29RIbv1l6pBdDyiZ_TAyXnwbpX4fWnkAwyIy4-4aWYK6k8EldjKXe6siaIF2jlWA06Ucnpqvs5rUO1EM0jooQ2hy9brXmohdhsdN-RMyDUmaK8IooC/s1600/Blazing+Sun.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh851yRqmT27Q_DvrKtE371aWYRSb29RIbv1l6pBdDyiZ_TAyXnwbpX4fWnkAwyIy4-4aWYK6k8EldjKXe6siaIF2jlWA06Ucnpqvs5rUO1EM0jooQ2hy9brXmohdhsdN-RMyDUmaK8IooC/s200/Blazing+Sun.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
It is sad, that though the everyday of my life the sun had been there, I had never actually seen it until now. For each day that I have left, I will make the effort to appreciate the beauty not only of the sun, but even the weeds, water, sand and all the little things around that are always taken for granted.<br />

against them but won’t. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was said to have

delivered to a journalist, meaning media houses should ensure the safety of
their staff is of paramount importance as the job is very risky.</div>

to block the roads. There was no movement for hours; I particularly pitied those
who were heading to hospitals and seriously in need of medical attention. Does our
government even think in this regard? </div>

I was chatting with an old school mate of mine recently, told her my brother is married and the FAMOUS QUESTION was asked; “WHEN IS YOURS?”<br />
<br />
This is a question asked after graduating from the University by anyone and anywhere. When some family friends come to the house they ask the same question and when you tell them you don’t know, they won’t even ask if you are dating anyone, the next thing you know they start praying for you. Oh YES! PRAYERS. “Ti e na ma de”, “a maa se ti e o!” (Yours will come, we will do yours). Then they also start preaching “You know you are not getting younger…..” They forget that no one can marry oneself. I am also guilty of this as I have asked friends; it is funny because am also not married.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKArrCQwVby5k2pjinsaa6E06uQVvsBOyZih6LwFxM08Apw6I-hVcGYyP_-M8CXJ3jt8YyhfS5UNgYBf7yeXW2IeY8f_kzC2wByd_p0ir-XXlTEXUKmZwYNNz-rU_vBm00zXi-y2QepSaA/s1600/african-american-wedding-photos-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="136" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKArrCQwVby5k2pjinsaa6E06uQVvsBOyZih6LwFxM08Apw6I-hVcGYyP_-M8CXJ3jt8YyhfS5UNgYBf7yeXW2IeY8f_kzC2wByd_p0ir-XXlTEXUKmZwYNNz-rU_vBm00zXi-y2QepSaA/s200/african-american-wedding-photos-2.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
I wonder why they don’t ask “Are you happy?”, “What are your future plans?” or “How is life with you?” I don’t know why we do it but I know it has to stop. SERIOUSLY. If one is getting married, its joyful news so it will be announced, so no need asking. The question is like a constant reminder that marriage is a necessity and takes place just right after graduation from the university (especially for ladies).<br />
<br />
I guess this is one reason a lot of ladies are desperately getting married just after University. There is no reward given for getting married at any age. Some ladies marry before knowing the man and some have not helped themselves to be independent so they depend on the men a lot, he is their backbone.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7J3W9jOXIPHD5OqFONJ2M10c0o1LrvsvXhmbTosgHPYqGeZIQO_kc67_dmu95hGDyyVW3yCpU9sLvZv_97dmauYV1DXYCEtAuu8zNl8Tvsn2j9AkZuLb1eIRCkrAR_04YVDUAONKC4bY4/s1600/groom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7J3W9jOXIPHD5OqFONJ2M10c0o1LrvsvXhmbTosgHPYqGeZIQO_kc67_dmu95hGDyyVW3yCpU9sLvZv_97dmauYV1DXYCEtAuu8zNl8Tvsn2j9AkZuLb1eIRCkrAR_04YVDUAONKC4bY4/s200/groom.jpg" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
Marriage is an institution; you need to be prepared before you enter it. It is a LIFETIME INSTITUTION, there is NO graduation only matriculation which is the wedding ceremony. Do not feel pressured or try to pressure anyone to get married. Everyone has different destiny and not everyone’s is to get married. Have an impact in the lives around you and make the most out of life. Live to the fullest and try to be as independent as much as you can be. Marry for the right reasons not the wrong ones.<br />
<br />
Please and please, if you are among those that ask the famous question, endeavor to STOP. It is really not a nice question and it is EMBARASSING!<br />

college (university) movies where real youngsters are used not Rita Dominic or
Chioma Chukwuka acting like ‘fresh out of secondary school’ girls? It upsets me
more to see that Nigerian producers cannot even take a cue from our endless
reality shows on dance and other stuff and make movies out of them.</span><br />

serious competition for Hollywood. This will step up their game and MS Word

I typed in "Nollywood" in the computer, the spelling error line appeared, (I
just sighed and added the word to the dictionary) meaning it is not a
recognized word. The only option MS Word gave was Hollywood. I sighed again.
After all, Nollywood is just a <b>sorry
imitation</b> of Hollywood and the rather pathetic part is that we keep
psyching ourselves as the third best movie making industry in the world. It’s
because other countries do not have "wood" added to the name of their movie
industries and they did not even call us the third best, they said third
largest because we can produce 50 movies in one day! That is fifty unrealistic
English C.D’s that will have parts one and two. It is bad enough that we have
‘copied’ their name but it’s completely unacceptable to make movies that are
archaic and infuriatingly unrealistic.</span></div>

am tired of stressing the fact that Hollywood is a place; more like a film village
or even city because in Hollywood, if they need to make a movie about a storm
or sea, they do not have to go to the sea, as in the real ocean, they use a
small swimming pool and add effects that make the whole thing look so real. You
see Nigeria? Nollywood is not even a film village or city; it’s an office off
Bode Thomas in Surulere. Apparently, the extent to which our imagination can
grow does not exceed movies on "juju", unchanging love films that never move
from 'rich guy loves poor-no poverty stricken girl…parents refuse blatantly…guy
rebels and marries girl…they suffer…parents don’t want to help…guy won’t
compromise his love…parents reconsider…blah blah blah’, or other love films
where 'girl loves guy…girl’s friend does too…girl’s friend blackmails girl…guy
leaves 1</span>st<span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;"> girl…truth is uncovered…guy retracts his steps…blah blah

are told. Gad-ddd!</span></div>

I get so enraged and want to go on and direct a movie of my own. The latest now
is our soap operas. Sigh. The stories they adapt are unbelievable! It’s like
they think we, the audience, are a bunch of illiterates- even illiterates will
not sit down and take in the crappy storylines we are always fed with each time
a new Nollywood movie comes out. I wonder when we will get to the level of
producing edgy movies and story lines that are so fresh 'out of the box'. We no
doubt have very good screenplay and our actors have managed to strike the chord
and broken legs with their mastery of the performing arts concept, but sadly,
that is not enough to bring the "cup" home. TO BE CONTINUED...<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Before I first
arrived at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), I thought I knew what a
dirty toilet was, even if I had not seen the worst, then I could at least
imagine it. But now, after my first year of study at UNN, I have finally
been convinced that it can be very dangerous to be over confident in one’s own
opinion. No matter how solid I felt my opinion was, witnessing the miracle
of how the toilets in school which by far </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">surpassed my
wildest imaginations of a filthy toilet somehow managed to get worse was enough
to convince </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">me that I needed
to keep an open mind (and blocked nostrils).</span></div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Never before in my
life have I been afraid of using a toilet, irritated? Yes, disgusted?
Certainly, but never afraid. So it was a totally new experience for me
when I was granted the opportunity to witness the miracle of the toilet as
it occurred at my hostel of residence.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Eating at some
point became a problem, because I realized that as long as food goes in, then
inevitably something just has to come out too. Anytime this dreaded call
of nature came, it was met with a heavy heart and so after preparations,
good well wishes from roommates I traversed the now seemingly long (not
to forget dirty) corridors with as brave a face as I could put up as I
went to face my fate. From a few metres away from the toilet a slightly stronger
aroma than the one around the rest of the hostel filled the air.
Within the toilet, with limited oxygen, I had to quickly choose the deep
blue sea over the devil in the form of a dirty toilet over dirtier ones.
Tiptoe, tiptoe… to select the least urine flooded part of the floor and hope
that my footwear would be enough protection for my feet.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

justice with words to the contents of each cubicle. Let it suffice for me to
say that each water closet represents a unique ecosystem comprising simple
micro-organisms, insects and occasionally rats. Several boys, unable to
manage, settle for the surrounding bushes. Some others manage the toilet but
insist on taking a bath immediately after. Neither of these has ever
appealed to me. These days though, the bush is looking nicer and nicer. As
